Adriano Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Aebi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magno Maranhense charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magno Maranhense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Magno Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Mauro Aebi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adriano Carneiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henri Schwersenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adriano Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Rohner in the 26th minute of the match. Cristian Aurre hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31stth minute of the game Bryan Rohner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MAZER SAF's Adriano Carneiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mauro Aebi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Carneiro having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelsinho Koehler made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Leão came free, but Jörg Stiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MAZER SAF's Adriano Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save MAZER SAF from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Amadeu Senna got a free kick in the 59th minute. Kurt Wüthrich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Adriano Carneiro made a huge save. After 63 minutes, Dudu Berger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MAZER SAF and the Espen Steelers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, MAZER SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Berger to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominik Sauerberg got free with Adriano Carneiro in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute of the match Espen Steelers got a corner. MAZER SAF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henri Schwersenz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Espen Steelers's Henri Schwersenz to fire away a dangerous shot which Adriano Carneiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kurt Wüthrich's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Carneiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Adriano Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Dominik Sauerberg sent off a good shot on target. Adriano Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Rohner in the 75th minute of the match. Dominik Sauerberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Adriano Carneiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Adriano Carneiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kurt Wüthrich in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Kurt Wüthrich dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adriano Carneiro, 0-1.
