Kurniawan Bisri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazeer Mhlathe in the 6th minute of the match. Nazeer Mhlathe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Nilsson in the 16th minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Kurniawan Bisri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes of play, PHOENIX SC's Egi Ryacudu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zlatan Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nazeer Mhlathe was the one to do the kick off.
