Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 159) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bengt-Rune Strömbom got the match started through his kick off. Bengt-Rune Strömbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. King Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land booed when Brothers of Mercy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Rune Strömbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Rocky Duarte seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rocky Duarte the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rocky Duarte had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! King Duarte had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Ulf Öfverman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 14 minutes of play, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. King Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 21 played minutes Brothers of Mercy got a freekick which was hit by Thiago van Dijk. King Duarte made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Mats Elg sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 27th minute of play forced CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper King Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Miguéis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ulf Öfverman came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Brothers of Mercy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Öfverman couldn't finish the play. After 35 played minutes CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land got a freekick which was hit by Conan Duarte. Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land. 37 minutes into the game, Ulf Öfverman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of King Duarte. Ulf Öfverman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
King Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Öfverman in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th match minute, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rei Duarte to maneuver through the defense. After 59 minutes of play, Brothers of Mercy's Mats Elg made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. King Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's zone, Ulf Öfverman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. King Duarte came out of the goal and Ulf Öfverman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. King Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Elg, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute Mats Elg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but King Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mats Elg, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 71 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The King Duarte was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With 74 minutes on the clock, Jörn Matsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The goalkeeper, Alexandre Pires, was totally fooled by CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Rambo Duarte, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Alexandre Veríssimo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. King Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antaios Tsangaris in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rambo Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago van Dijk struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. King Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brothers of Mercy. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Erramu Chute sped through CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of King Duarte. When the referee ended the match the Brothers of Mercy players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
