In the 3rd minute Nico-Jan Ijsselhof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ritchie Roig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mathieu Van de Poel fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Decathlon Dudes's protests and gave Mathieu Van de Poel a yellow card for diving instead. Mathieu Van de Poel hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. César Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernat Laredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Hilhorst who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Ritchie Roig when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 37th match minute, Clube Esportivo Saudade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nacho Romero to maneuver through the defense. Clube Esportivo Saudade's Ritchie Roig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noah Lyles in the 40th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Reina to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Noah Lyles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ritchie Roig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Decathlon Dudes's Mathieu Van de Poel to fire away a dangerous shot which Ritchie Roig despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Jaraba during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Clube Esportivo Saudade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Jaraba to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Noah Lyles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ritchie Roig was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After 61 played minutes Clube Esportivo Saudade got a freekick which was hit by Bernat Laredo. 63 minutes into the match, Nico-Jan Ijsselhof had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ritchie Roig. Clube Esportivo Saudade's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nico-Jan Ijsselhof was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ritchie Roig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noah Lyles, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edilberto Marin during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute of the match Decathlon Dudes got a corner. Clube Esportivo Saudade's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mathieu Van de Poel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Clube Esportivo Saudade getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Nacho Romero hit a great ball. If Elbert Pieters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
