An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Luco in the 15th minute of play forced Lirarnas Lag's goalkeeper Rune Grep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lirarnas Lag's Luo Gang Zhan got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Altermundi FC's Ysmael Alemparte. Ysmael Alemparte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Altermundi FC's Ysmael Alemparte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille in the 25th minute of play. In the 37th minute Rogelio Luco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Grep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Rogelio Luco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rune Grep. Lirarnas Lag's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogelio Luco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Sven-Åke Hjelm fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lirarnas Lag's protests and gave Sven-Åke Hjelm a yellow card for diving instead. Sven-Åke Hjelm hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The tension between the Lirarnas Lag and the Altermundi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rogelio Luco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Grep having to interfere. Sven-Åke Hjelm hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Arcadio Saralegui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
