LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save LA DEL MONO from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Nicolas Cheche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Reina came free, but Fabio Betadur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, LA DEL MONO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Rudolfo to maneuver through the defense. LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save LA DEL MONO from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernat Laredo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabio Betadur. That made the score 1-1 in the 40 minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Reina to make the kick off.
