The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to AnÐaRaHy getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. In the 24th minute Justino Heli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Giuseppe Catarinense in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by RB Chubut's Juan Sorin. Alfonso Bikendi scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Diniz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 32 played minutes RB Chubut got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Bikendi. AnÐaRaHy's Fernando Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Bikendi in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Alfonso Bikendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Bikendi in the 37th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaac Mingo got free with Fernando Diniz in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giuseppe Catarinense made in the 78th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by RB Chubut's Xizavier Dacorrega. Fernando Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho Pelé, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes RB Chubut got a freekick which was hit by Xizavier Dacorrega. Fernando Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Pelé, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
