Alexander Di Croce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sören Malmberg having to interfere. Sören Malmberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kacper Fetor in the 31st minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Club 23's goalkeeper Sören Malmberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kacper Fetor. In the 40th minute Cássio Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eraldo Garibaldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Cosimo Vaiani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dacian Săraru kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute of the match, Armin Quattrocchi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sören Malmberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

With a little luck, Glasgow Rangers FC's Eraldo Garibaldi got control of the ball when Bogdan Bogdanović tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sören Malmberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beppe Contaldi's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Sören Malmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kacper Fetor, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club 23 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Glasgow Rangers FC.
