After a rather tough play, Ágætis Byrjun's Marc Plagge got a free kick in the 5th minute. Mustafa Hamit Saye scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Pedro Valadares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yağızalp Günden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dirk Reitsma's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The Ágætis Byrjun fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Ágætis Byrjun's Dirk Reitsma looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 17 minutes, Lucien de Ridder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ágætis Byrjun and the CİCERO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zé Pedro Valadares came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by CİCERO's Ahmet Necdet Yunus. But to his dismay, Ahmet Necdet Yunus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The CİCERO fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when CİCERO's Mustafa Hamit Saye looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 31 minutes into the game, one of Ágætis Byrjun:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind CİCERO's goalkeeper Yağızalp Günden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute Ágætis Byrjun were awarded a corner. Lucien de Ridder went to the cornerflag to take it. Janne Reitsma kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Yağızalp Günden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dirk Reitsma's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The audience was convinced that Dirk Reitsma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yağızalp Günden was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. CİCERO's Yağızalp Günden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Reitsma in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to CİCERO getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Mansur Akağan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucien de Ridder in the 48th minute of play forced CİCERO's goalkeeper Yağızalp Günden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dirk Reitsma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yağızalp Günden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk Reitsma in the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's Dirk Reitsma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yağızalp Günden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yağızalp Günden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Reitsma, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ágætis Byrjun's Dirk Reitsma slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yağızalp Günden. That made the score 3-2 after 62 minutes of play. With a little luck, CİCERO's Yağızalp Günden got control of the ball when Dirk Reitsma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ágætis Byrjun's Zé Pedro Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Hamit Saye in the 66th minute of play. Lucien de Ridder was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 83rd match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien de Ridder to maneuver through the defense. CİCERO made a substitution. Taner Tuğkan replaced Ahmet Necdet Yunus. Zé Pedro Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taner Tuğkan in the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, CİCERO's goalkeeper Yağızalp Günden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Janne Reitsma. After a rather tough play, CİCERO's Aybar Pozan got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Taner Tuğkan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Pedro Valadares was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. CİCERO were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
