Spectators: 8437 (Terracing: 6329, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 168) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dirk Reitsma made the kick off which started today's match. Edgar Grep stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dirk Reitsma's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After 5 played minutes Älta BK got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Jonasson. After a defensive mix-up in Älta BK's zone, Dirk Reitsma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Grep came out of the goal and Dirk Reitsma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Älta BK's goalkeeper Edgar Grep had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mathias Huiting. Edgar Grep made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Reitsma in the 11th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Ágætis Byrjun's Dirk Reitsma dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Harris Theisens kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Sonny Ek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ágætis Byrjun's Zé Pedro Valadares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Pedro Valadares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sonny Ek's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Anders Löv kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dirk Reitsma in the 37th minute of play forced Älta BK's goalkeeper Edgar Grep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes, Mathias Huiting mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ágætis Byrjun and the Älta BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Älta BK booed when Ágætis Byrjun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Huiting didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dirk Reitsma came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ágætis Byrjun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk Reitsma couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd match minute, Älta BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Engelaar to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Lucien de Ridder in the 44th minute really tested Edgar Grep's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nils-Emil Engman made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Dirk Reitsma notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Älta BK's Edgar Grep. Edgar Grep was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Patrick van der Valk replaced Mathias Huiting. After 69 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Patrick van der Valk. In the 71st minute, Dirk Reitsma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Grep was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 77th minute, Marc Plagge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match Gabriel Apelqvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Pedro Valadares skillfully saved the ball. Christoffer Vesterberg kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Edgar Grep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucien de Ridder, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Dirk Reitsma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dirk Reitsma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Dirk Reitsma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgar Grep made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick van der Valk in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Ágætis Byrjun players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
