The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ismael Ubarna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Serginho Sabóia spun around in front of the goal 29 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cable a Tierra's goal. Lúcio Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lúcio Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 41 minutes into the match, Eliseu Simão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismael Ubarna. Cable a Tierra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseu Simão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Jovens Democratas MZC's Filiberto Fidele got control of the ball when Eusebio Gorosti tried to sneak it across the goal line.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xiao Yuan made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Simão. When Xiao Yuan came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Cable a Tierra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xiao Yuan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Cruz in the 57th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Ismael Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Ismael Ubarna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lúcio Cruz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Simão got free with Ismael Ubarna in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lúcio Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ismael Ubarna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cable a Tierra's zone, Marco van Basten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Ubarna came out of the goal and Marco van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cable a Tierra made a substitution. Victoriano Eztebe replaced Eusebio Gorosti. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Vinícius Galvan replaced Jozef Ilve. After 78 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by Elder Tavares. In the 79th minute of the match Roberto Lucila sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filiberto Fidele skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Giuseppe Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Negri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Ubarna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ismael Ubarna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elder Tavares took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael Ubarna. Ismael Ubarna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 89th match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Tavares to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Jovens Democratas MZC's Giuseppe Negri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ismael Ubarna. Ismael Ubarna yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 97th minute, Jovens Democratas MZC's Marco van Basten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Jovens Democratas MZC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
