Placido Geofredo had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Qiu Feng Guo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 8th minute, Qiu Feng Guo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Placido Geofredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 15 played minutes Purple Talents got a freekick which was hit by Donato Azevedo. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Edoardo Pasin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ozanköy u21's supporters rose to their feet, but Edoardo Pasin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Van der Veeken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Edoardo Pasin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ozanköy u21's Zeki Kocak quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Donato Azevedo, made in the 28th minute of the game. A hard shot 30 in the game by Edoardo Pasin from a close distance when the talented Steve Van der Veeken managed to make a qualified save. Purple Talents's players were relieved. Edoardo Pasin might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steve Van der Veeken. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edoardo Pasin ran back to his position shaking his head. Edoardo Pasin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Steve Van der Veeken made a huge save. In the 33rd minute, Donato Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiu Feng Guo in the 38th minute of play forced Ozanköy u21's goalkeeper Placido Geofredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Geofredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qiu Feng Guo in the 39th minute of play. Tansel Visali's late challenge caught a Ozanköy u21's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tansel Visali helped the player get up and apologised. If Edoardo Pasin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricky Waegemans was the one to do the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Adnan Kayıboylu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Purple Talents getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Hever Plasencia hit a great ball. Steve Van der Veeken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Günalp Uygan in the 68th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Donato Azevedo in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ozanköy u21's Martin Landro. In the 75th minute Günalp Uygan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Van der Veeken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Günalp Uygan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ozanköy u21 made a substitution. Shi Ang Xi replaced Edoardo Pasin. Placido Geofredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricky Waegemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Steve Van der Veeken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shi Ang Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ozanköy u21's Placido Geofredo got control of the ball when Qiu Feng Guo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
