In the 41st minute of the match MKS Mazur Ełk got a corner. Sacro Balompié's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juliusz Jerzyk ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Zeru Mezquita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Suárez in the 43rd minute of play forced MKS Mazur Ełk's goalkeeper Cezary Sitko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to MKS Mazur Ełk getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Radoslaw Domeracki hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, MKS Mazur Ełk's Armando Dorigatti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Lorien narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Lorien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Dorigatti, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
