If Ronaldo Joinvilense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Ove Håning blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delfim Chaves having to make a save. With a little luck, Galo do Japi's Delfim Chaves got control of the ball when Jan-Ove Håning tried to sneak it across the goal line.
