In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Róbson Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabiano Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Róbson Linares got control of the ball when Ronaldo Joinvilense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raimundo Amorim lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Merusca F&P - CIMZ made a substitution. Edu Cunha replaced Claudinho Sá. In a very dangerous position, a player in Merusca F&P - CIMZ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Carlos Augusto Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Guga Castro got a free kick in the 98th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Galo do Japi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
