The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute of the match Pihl United got a corner. JUNICO Ełk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luc Fontaine ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gottfrid Haström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harri Kaine, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 16thth minute of the game Tommy Sundberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JUNICO Ełk's Konstanty Kilarski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Ferreira in the 18th minute of play forced JUNICO Ełk's goalkeeper Konstanty Kilarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konstanty Kilarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Sundberg in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Sundberg in the 21st minute of play forced JUNICO Ełk's goalkeeper Konstanty Kilarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konstanty Kilarski was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Enrique Ferreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Enrique Ferreira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 26th minute, Krzysztof Hajduk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JUNICO Ełk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Sundberg got free with Konstanty Kilarski in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gottfrid Haström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krzysztof Hajduk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Pihl United's goal looked a bit too open when Harri Kaine came free, but Gottfrid Haström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. JUNICO Ełk's Konstanty Kilarski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Sundberg in the 37th minute of play. Harri Kaine struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Gottfrid Haström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JUNICO Ełk. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Pihl United's Tommy Sundberg in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye JUNICO Ełk's goalie prevented a goal. Konstanty Kilarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Sundberg in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Harri Kaine ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gottfrid Haström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Konstanty Kilarski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Sundberg in the 68th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Harri Kaine dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gottfrid Haström, 1-3. JUNICO Ełk made a substitution. Zachariasz Zaremba replaced Carlos Rennie. JUNICO Ełk's 沈振枫 was substituted for Krzysztof Hajduk. Konstanty Kilarski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Waselewicz in the 76th minute of the match. Konstanty Kilarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Ferreira in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th minute Daniel Waselewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstanty Kilarski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Enrique Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rikard Træden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Sundberg in the 85th minute of play forced JUNICO Ełk's goalkeeper Konstanty Kilarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Rikard Træden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rikard Træden blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gottfrid Haström having to make a save. Gottfrid Haström made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Rikard Træden sent off a good shot on target. JUNICO Ełk's Konstanty Kilarski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shea Caballero in the 93rd minute of play. After 94th play minutes Tommy Sundberg shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Konstanty Kilarski and just under the crossbar into goal. Chants of JUNICO Ełk echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Pihl United had held the ball for most of the match.
