After having played for 3 minutes, Gerardo Rufo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Locura Académica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Rufo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Capioviciño's Cristobal Venerando slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santiago Guillelmo. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. If Robustiano Rafel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Locura Académica getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Carlos Natal hit a great ball. Bernardo Laurgain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Natal, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Celedonio Mundo's late challenge caught a Capioviciño's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celedonio Mundo helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Locura Académica got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Mundo. After a rather tough play, Locura Académica's Jonas Argider got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Segundo Gaspard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Locura Académica getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jonas Argider hit a great ball. When Cristobal Venerando came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Capioviciño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Venerando couldn't finish the play. Santiago Guillelmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Nastasio in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Edelmiro Stephen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristobal Venerando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Nastasio in the 48th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Santiago Guillelmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerardo Rufo to strike the kick off in the second half. Robustiano Rafel took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santiago Guillelmo. Santiago Guillelmo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 55th minute Robustiano Rafel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Guillelmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Laurgain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Rufo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes, Locura Académica's Sergio Cuartio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bernardo Laurgain came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Locura Académica reached it. Robustiano Rafel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Guillelmo having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Nastasio came free, but Santiago Guillelmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Nastasio in the 70th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Santiago Guillelmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Locura Académica getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Edelmiro Stephen hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Esteve Nastasio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capioviciño's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteve Nastasio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Guillelmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Laurgain was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Gerardo Rufo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerardo Rufo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After a rather tough play, Locura Académica's Ivan Gau got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When Segundo Gaspard came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Capioviciño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Segundo Gaspard couldn't finish the play. Santiago Guillelmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteve Nastasio's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Capioviciño's Cristobal Venerando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Guillelmo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
