Spectators: 7583 (Terracing: 5688, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 151) Portuguesa's Zé Paulo Mendes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes of play, Cura del Futbol's Marcial Stephen made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruy Goiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Rosalio in the 8th minute of play forced Portuguesa's goalkeeper Ruy Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute of the match Cura del Futbol got a corner. Portuguesa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eulalio Blanco ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Constantino Peter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Portuguesa's Betinho Severo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Eron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Zé Paulo Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Eron. Cura del Futbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Paulo Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ruy Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Peter in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goalkeeper Ruy Goiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Stephen. Ruy Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Millano in the 32nd minute of play. Ruy Goiano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Constantino Peter showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 37 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Severo in the 40th minute of play forced Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Conrado Eron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cura del Futbol getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Bernardo Acosta hit a great ball. Oscar Seco's late challenge caught a Cura del Futbol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Seco helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Portuguesa got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Seco. In the 46th minute, Betinho Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Conrado Eron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Mendes in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantino Peter was the one to do the kick off. Conrado Eron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Severo in the 52nd minute of play. Zé Paulo Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Eron having to interfere. Ruy Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Peter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cura del Futbol's Bernardo Acosta got a free kick in the 64th minute. Zé Paulo Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kauã da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Portuguesa's Ruy Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Millano in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 minutes, Carolo Chus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cura del Futbol and the Portuguesa players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Chus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Portuguesa defense, Constantino Peter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Goiano. The Portuguesa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Goiano should have stopped the shot. Jimeno Millano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cura del Futbol's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
