The referee ignored No Shit!!'s protests and gave Aad Boeringe a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Prasert Genius booed when No Shit!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aad Boeringe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If 邵西迅 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, 宋冰桦 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prasert Genius's supporters rose to their feet, but 宋冰桦 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitchell Kruijs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erben Hoogsteen to make the kick off.
