When Stellenbosch's Teodosio Bermund in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 11th minute, Octavio Senio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Americo Gaitano. The goal made the score 1-0. Teodosio Bermund took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Martino. Rafael Martino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Bermund in the 18th minute of play. Rafael Martino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodosio Bermund's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elvio Machado got free with Americo Gaitano in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ladislao Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Martino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Uhin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Teodosio Bermund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Martino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Americo Gaitano was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Amadeo Oxel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amadeo Oxel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Americo Gaitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Lidon in the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Club Sportivo Italiano's Elvio Machado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. In the 38th minute of the match Marcos Giraldo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafael Martino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Bermund in the 39th minute of play. Leo Veronica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Gaitano having to interfere. Marcos Giraldo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Rafael Lidon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Americo Gaitano, 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teodosio Bermund to strike the kick off in the second half. If Maximo Uhin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Club Sportivo Italiano getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Sixto Roland hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Teodosio Bermund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Martino was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 55th minute of the match Stellenbosch got a corner. Club Sportivo Italiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Modesto Fliz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Stellenbosch's Modesto Fliz to fire away a dangerous shot which Rafael Martino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Rafael Lidon fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Sportivo Italiano's protests and gave Rafael Lidon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Stellenbosch booed when Club Sportivo Italiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Lidon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Leo Veronica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Americo Gaitano came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Sportivo Italiano's Octavio Senio. But to his dismay, Octavio Senio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Teodosio Bermunds short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Rafael Martino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Orlando Hug kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Hug to maneuver through the defense. Americo Gaitano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Veronica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Americo Gaitano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Torres's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Maximo Uhin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rafael Martino. The goal made the score 5-2. In the 77th minute, Rafael Lidon made a precise shot to the right of Americo Gaitano. Stellenbosch's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Stellenbosch's Americo Gaitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Torres in the 84th minute of play. Nicanor Cedro's late challenge caught a Club Sportivo Italiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Cedro helped the player get up and apologised.
