Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gervasio Soter in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olívio Abraão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aaron Muno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Inter Gala booed when Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Ariando didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Ademar Figueiredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermengildo Elorri was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Quilmes's Hernan Oroitz got a free kick in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Paz came free, but Olívio Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Ariando to maneuver through the defense. Hermengildo Elorri was a little too slow when Ademar Figueiredo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. Olívio Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Soter in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Passos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Quilmes getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gervasio Soter hit a great ball. Quilmes's Hermengildo Elorri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Quilmes from getting a goal against them. After 39 played minutes Víktor Passos rounded Quilmes's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ademar Figueiredo during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Figueiredo. If Flavio Lucila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Aaron Muno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Muno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Mauro Pombal made the kick off in the second half. Olívio Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Paz in the 51st minute of play. Hermengildo Elorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Enetz. Ricardinho de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The long shot by Benedicto Iraitz in the 58th minute really tested Olívio Abraão's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 60 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Passos. Quilmes's Hermengildo Elorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho de Souza in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Víktor Passos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermengildo Elorri was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The Quilmes fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Quilmes's Melquiades Paz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gervasio Soter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Olívio Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armandinho Queiroz hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Olívio Abraão acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gervasio Soter. Olívio Abraão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gervasio Soter in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Víktor Passos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Hermengildo Elorri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vítor Sousa hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Olívio Abraão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavio Lucila in the 90th minute. In the 95th match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armandinho Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Olívio Abraão acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gervasio Soter. Inter Gala's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
