Hernani Pirani came out and tried to block the shot, but Aaron Muno slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. 2-0 became the score in the 9th minute when Melquiades Paz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Green Squad FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Oséias de Alcântara hit a great ball. Green Squad FC were furious when Wesley Ferreira was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Green Squad FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quilmes:s goal. Gervasio Soter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Hernani Pirani made a huge save. 28 minutes into the match, Melquiades Paz notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Green Squad FC's Hernani Pirani. Hernani Pirani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st play minute Melquiades Paz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hernani Pirani. 5-0. Flavio Lucila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hernani Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Melquiades Paz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quilmes and the Green Squad FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Paz to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 61 played minutes Green Squad FC got a freekick which was hit by Oséias de Alcântara. Hernani Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Paz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Oséias de Alcântara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hermengildo Elorri firmly grabbed it by the left post. Oséias de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Hernani Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Ariando in the 75th minute of play.
