The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Melquiades Paz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Peli kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Emmanuel Pereira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Kuskatan C.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilmes the free kick. A collision led to Real Kuskatan C.F. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Emmanuel Pereira hit a great ball. Melquiades Paz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Camilo Hinguanzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Enetz. Hermengildo Elorri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edwin Zaldaña's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. When Real Kuskatan C.F.'s Edwin Zaldaña in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quilmes's goalie prevented a goal. Raúl Díaz took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermengildo Elorri. Hermengildo Elorri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Camilo Hinguanzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Paz in the 25th minute of the match. After 25 minutes, Raúl Díaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Kuskatan C.F. and the Quilmes players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Real Kuskatan C.F. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Raúl Díaz hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Real Kuskatan C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Paz came free, but Camilo Hinguanzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edwin Zaldaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Ariando got free with Camilo Hinguanzo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The nice shot from Baldomiro Ariando in the 35thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Camilo Hinguanzo had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. During the 37th minute of the match Raúl Díaz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Raúl Díaz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 38 played minutes Real Kuskatan C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Díaz. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Melquiades Paz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Paz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Hinguanzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melquiades Paz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Real Kuskatan C.F.'s zone, Aaron Muno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Hinguanzo came out of the goal and Aaron Muno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edwin Zaldaña's late challenge caught a Quilmes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edwin Zaldaña helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes Real Kuskatan C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Zaldaña. The supporters of Quilmes booed when Real Kuskatan C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Peli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Hinguanzo came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Quilmes's Melquiades Paz. But to his dismay, Melquiades Paz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 75 played minutes Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Enetz. Raúl García kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Baldomiro Ariando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Hinguanzo having to interfere. After some careless play in the Real Kuskatan C.F. defense, Baldomiro Ariando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Hinguanzo. The Real Kuskatan C.F. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Hinguanzo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Ariando in the 95th minute of play forced Real Kuskatan C.F.'s goalkeeper Camilo Hinguanzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Quilmes fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Kuskatan C.F. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
