Régis Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Pombal in the 2nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, TaTeRo Boys's Zé Carlos Mendonça got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 5 played minutes, Inter Gala's Víktor Passos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Régis Leão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inter Gala reached it. TaTeRo Boys's Régis Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Víktor Passos in the 6th minute of play. Ricardinho de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Régis Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho de Souza in the 11th minute of play. Régis Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Passos in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, TaTeRo Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Pombal came free, but Régis Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Inter Gala booed when TaTeRo Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Carlos Mendonça came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Olívio Abraão could save by the left post. In the 21st minute Ricardinho de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th match minute, TaTeRo Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Baiano to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Mauro Pombal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Régis Leão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 28 played minutes TaTeRo Boys got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Eger. In the 30th minute of the match Armandinho Queiroz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Régis Leão skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, TaTeRo Boys's Enrique Macedo got a free kick in the 30th minute. Régis Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho de Souza in the 33rd minute of play. Régis Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardinho de Souza's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the TaTeRo Boys defense, Ademar Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Régis Leão. The TaTeRo Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Régis Leão should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute, Dida Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Carlos Mendonça to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Inter Gala's Mauro Pombal made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Régis Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardinho de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Ademar Figueiredo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Régis Leão. The goal made the score 0-4. When Víktor Passos came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Inter Gala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Passos couldn't finish the play. Régis Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Passos in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Ademar Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter Gala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 70th match minute, TaTeRo Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Baiano to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Ademar Figueiredo notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of TaTeRo Boys's Régis Leão. Régis Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Régis Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Pombal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Régis Leão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 89 played minutes TaTeRo Boys got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Sena. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Armandinho Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter Gala's supporters rose to their feet, but Armandinho Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Régis Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, TaTeRo Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho de Souza came free, but Régis Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Régis Leão made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Víktor Passos sent off a good shot on target. Inter Gala played a much better game than TaTeRo Boys and deserved their victory. The TaTeRo Boys players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
