Pindorama's Dida Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Păun in the 5th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Pindorama got a freekick which was hit by Dieguinho Brodel. Dida Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Boroș in the 16th minute of the match. Dida Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Boroș in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Strikers's Eduard Boroș got a free kick in the 27th minute. Neymar Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Phoenix Strikers were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neymar Santos made a kick off. In the 54th minute Neymar Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Visch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigel Enășoiu's late challenge caught a Pindorama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gigel Enășoiu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pindorama booed when Phoenix Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Enășoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Raúl de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anton Păun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Dida Silva made a huge save. Pindorama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Eduard Boroș scored to the left of an out of position Dida Silva, making the score, 0-2. Anton Păun's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dida Silva firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dida Silva made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Anton Păun sent off a good shot on target. Neymar Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 minutes of play, Pindorama's Neymar Santos made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnny Visch was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Pindorama supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Phoenix Strikers's performance. The match ended with a win for Phoenix Strikers.
