The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Vito Munhoz put in a rough tackle. 36 minutes into the game, one of Pindorama:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sven-Åke Gadd walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Bratt in the 42nd minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Dida Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Pindorama were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sakarias Hellbom to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Gnesta Oilers getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Sven-Åke Gadd hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Bratt came free, but Dida Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Jim Bratt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dida Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dida Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakarias Hellbom in the 67th minute of play. After 73 minutes of play Gnesta Oilers's Sven-Åke Gadd was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 73rd match minute, Gnesta Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Gadd to maneuver through the defense. Jim Bratt took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Silva. Dida Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Dida Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jim Bratt's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute Dag Törnqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jim Bratt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dida Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Bratt in the 90th minute of the match. Pindorama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
