The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 21st minute, Ingemar Ahlkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Quetzal Flyers Hammers defense, Tomás Rico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oskar Vestberg. The Quetzal Flyers Hammers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oskar Vestberg should have stopped the shot. Rikard Sjögren kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gideon Kodu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Antonio Carrizo made a huge save. After 38 played minutes El Millo de Haedo got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Pirmin. Antonio Carrizo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Birger Nordmark. 41 minutes into the game, Alfons Mattsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Millo de Haedo the free kick. A collision led to Quetzal Flyers Hammers getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Alfons Mattsson hit a great ball. Ramiro Urbez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Vestberg having to interfere. The supporters of El Millo de Haedo booed when Quetzal Flyers Hammers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingemar Ahlkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignacio Montrell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amancio Pirmin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Vestberg having to interfere. In the 58th minute, El Millo de Haedo's Amancio Pirmin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. 62 minutes into the match, El Millo de Haedo's goal looked a bit too open when Gideon Kodu came free, but Antonio Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rikard Sjögren in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Gideon Kodu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Carrizo. El Millo de Haedo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gideon Kodu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 69th minute, Ingemar Ahlkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ignacio Montrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gideon Kodu in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Carrizo saved El Millo de Haedo from getting behind. El Millo de Haedo's Antonio Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rikard Sjögren in the 81st minute of play. Gideon Kodu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Carrizo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Oskar Vestberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Montrell in the 89th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Rikard Sjögren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
