Andris Bruyninckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Rio having to interfere. If Ermegildo Joey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes of play, Islas FC's Narciso Acevedo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Dewinter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernan Rio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gwen Haemers's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After 17 minutes, Nicolas Iruinea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Islas FC and the All Stars Gent players grew even worse after the yellow card. Henry Dewinter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Casomiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl Hauwaerts during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, All Stars Gent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Hauwaerts to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Joey in the 23rd minute of play forced All Stars Gent's goalkeeper Henry Dewinter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remy de la Croix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Islas FC's Fernan Rio got control of the ball when Gwen Haemers tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Gwen Haemers made a precise shot to the right of Fernan Rio. Islas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Gwen Haemers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Fernan Rio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ermegildo Joey kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Remy de la Croix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. All Stars Gent's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remy de la Croix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, All Stars Gent's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Acevedo came free, but Henry Dewinter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Reemy Schipmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Ermegildo Joey could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Henry Dewinter however easily saved by the left post. 63 minutes into the game, Nicolas Iruinea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Henry Dewinter. Nicolas Iruinea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. A collision led to All Stars Gent getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Andris Bruyninckx hit a great ball. Thobias Maerschalk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 played minutes All Stars Gent got a freekick which was hit by Remy de la Croix. 86 minutes into the game, Islas FC's Ermegildo Joey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Dewinter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a rather tough play, All Stars Gent's Thobias Maerschalk got a free kick in the 89th minute. The supporters of Islas FC booed when All Stars Gent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Hauwaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, All Stars Gent's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Joey came free, but Henry Dewinter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernan Rio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwen Haemers in the 96th minute of the match. The All Stars Gent fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Islas FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
