The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Gustavo Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Carlos Fernando Campidelis hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the game, Arlindo Carneiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Misericordia EC the free kick. In the 21st minute, Arlindo Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Carlos Fernando Campidelis's late challenge caught a Misericordia EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Fernando Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. Arlindo Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alex Gaúcho 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 33 played minutes BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Pereira. In the 35th match minute, Misericordia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Motta to maneuver through the defense. After 39 minutes, Rodolfo Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- and the Misericordia EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 41 minutes into the match, BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Douglas Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cássio Motta. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Rodolfo Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cássio Motta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Gaúcho in the 51st minute of play forced BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Douglas Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 55th minute of the match Carlos Fernando Campidelis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Carlos Fernando Campidelis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Felippe Sanches could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Leonel Paraíba made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cássio Motta in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Douglas Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodolfo Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Valério Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of Misericordia EC booed when BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Valério Moreira hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s Valério Moreira got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Waldir Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Misericordia EC had played much better football throughout.
