Spectators: 7464 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulo Coimbra got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Red Proud FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Azenha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Huston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Red Proud FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chad Carrier came free, but Rui Azenha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristobal Fox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Baptista in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Larry Washburn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Azenha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rui Azenha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brady Hooks, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Red Proud FC defense, Roy Huston kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui Azenha. The Red Proud FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Azenha should have stopped the shot. Chad Carrier took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Azenha. Rui Azenha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Huston in the 22nd minute of play forced Red Proud FC's goalkeeper Rui Azenha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brady Hooks's late challenge caught a Red Proud FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brady Hooks helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, C. A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brady Hooks to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Red Proud FC's Egídio Baptista got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Egídio Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Red Proud FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Baptista couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Egídio Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Egídio Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Weldon Morrow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roy Huston made a kick off. The supporters of Red Proud FC booed when C. A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brady Hooks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egídio Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Roy Huston left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 63 minutes into the match, Egídio Baptista notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of C. A. Independiente's Cristobal Fox. Cristobal Fox was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Red Proud FC's Rui Azenha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chad Carrier in the 66th minute of play. Rui Azenha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chad Carrier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Fox stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egídio Baptista's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. A collision led to Red Proud FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Juvenal Assis hit a great ball. Red Proud FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Chad Carrier scored to the left of an out of position Rui Azenha, making the score, 1-4. After a rather tough play, C. A. Independiente's Travis Cassidy got a free kick in the 86th minute. Travis Cassidy hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Lázaro Falcão hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Chad Carrier rounded Red Proud FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. C. A. Independiente walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
