Steffen Rotheuler hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Sven Börger hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Dagoberto Pirani blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ratko Gingold having to make a save. Douglas Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Halil Winskowsky's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Moritz Bähnert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douglas Tasso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Pirani in the 14th minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Ratko Gingold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dagoberto Pirani received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ratko Gingold came out and tried to block the shot, but Dagoberto Pirani slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rot-Weiss-Essen's zone, Dagoberto Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ratko Gingold came out of the goal and Dagoberto Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ratko Gingold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dagoberto Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ratko Gingold having to interfere. After 25 played minutes BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio do Vale. Dagoberto Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mário Siqueira hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Felippe Sanches notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's Ratko Gingold. Ratko Gingold was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 37 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Baumgarten. Ratko Gingold made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Santos in the 39th minute. A collision led to BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dagoberto Pirani hit a great ball. Douglas Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halil Winskowsky in the 44th minute of play. Alfredinho Dantas lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alfredinho Dantas hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Halil Winskowsky made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Felippe Sanches got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Douglas Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moritz Bähnert in the 61st minute of play. Dagoberto Pirani might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ratko Gingold. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dagoberto Pirani ran back to his position shaking his head. When Eusébio do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BUZZIDA FC -DMZ-'s protests and gave Eusébio do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. Eusébio do Vale hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute of the match Sven Börger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Douglas Tasso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Douglas Tasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sascha Andre Rennert in the 79th minute. After 81 minutes, Moritz Bähnert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rot-Weiss-Essen and the BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moritz Bähnert to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Felippe Sanches got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sascha Andre Rennert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Douglas Tasso made a huge save. The supporters of Rot-Weiss-Essen booed when BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlindo Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Douglas Tasso managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Rot-Weiss-Essen's Mauro Baumgarten fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 93 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Sanches came free, but Ratko Gingold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BUZZIDA FC -DMZ- fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rot-Weiss-Essen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
