A hard shot by Nestor Netto from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Angelo Sugoi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 6th match minute, Talleres de Escalada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Platon to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Netto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Walmir Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Jusepe in the 9th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Lonzo came free, but Walmir Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes, Víktor Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTOS FC- FDFDF and the Talleres de Escalada players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes SANTOS FC- FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Braga. Wilson Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Marcelino Basajaun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Talleres de Escalada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 29 played minutes Talleres de Escalada got a freekick which was hit by Javier Platon. 33 minutes into the game, Talleres de Escalada's Andres Jusepe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmir Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The SANTOS FC- FDFDF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Talleres de Escalada were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Moreno to make the kick off. Angelo Sugoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Moreno in the 52nd minute of play. Talleres de Escalada were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after SANTOS FC- FDFDF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Marino took the corner. Walmir Ferreira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcelino Basajaun showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. Walmir Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Baltasar Lonzo sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS FC- FDFDF's zone, Baltasar Lonzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Ferreira came out of the goal and Baltasar Lonzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goalkeeper Walmir Ferreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltasar Lonzo. Oscar Azeari hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 78 minutes of play, Talleres de Escalada's Baltasar Lonzo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmir Ferreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Walmir Ferreira managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Talleres de Escalada's Baltasar Lonzo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Talleres de Escalada's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
