The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Jose Abalos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maurits Weinhardt. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. In the 10th minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Micky Capusotto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The supporters of Pheonix FC booed when Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Javiero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Svenn Gurliph charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svenn Gurliph the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Svenn Gurliph kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Damian Damario kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pheonix FC's zone, Jose Abalos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurits Weinhardt came out of the goal and Jose Abalos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurits Weinhardt came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Jose Abalos. But to his dismay, Jose Abalos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Deportivo Pomelo Nenene getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Damian Damario hit a great ball. Hilario Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svenn Gurliph in the 36th minute of the match. Svenn Gurliph took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Ramos. Hilario Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Micky Capusotto to strike the kick off in the second half. Maurits Weinhardt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Balesio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Abalos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Pheonix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Javiero came free, but Maurits Weinhardt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Pheonix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Balesio came free, but Maurits Weinhardt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wagner Schaumburg during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maurits Weinhardt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Javiero in the 77th minute of play. After 79 minutes of play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Martin Balesio made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurits Weinhardt was left in no man's land by his defense there! 90 minutes into the game, Pheonix FC's Svenn Gurliph nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-3. In the 95th minute, Micky Capusotto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Pomelo Nenene fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-3. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene fully deserved thier win.
