In the 3rd minute Gunter Van Bets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Axel Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Åhus Absolut F.C's Karl-Axel Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitch Hollandts in the 5th minute of play. Åhus Absolut F.C were furious when Stig Haström was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Lions United's Izak Capellemans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Lions United from getting a goal against them. Åhus Absolut F.C's Karl-Axel Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitch Hollandts in the 12th minute of play. The referee gave Lions United a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jorg Coenens, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Åhus Absolut F.C's Karl-Axel Jakobsson. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Broman in the 17th minute of play forced Lions United's goalkeeper Izak Capellemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Lions United's Mitch Hollandts nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Axel Jakobsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Mitch Hollandts came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Lions United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitch Hollandts couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Lions United booed when Åhus Absolut F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Broman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Åhus Absolut F.C's Sten Skott got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Joel Bollström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åhus Absolut F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Bollström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rens Panhuyse hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The Åhus Absolut F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lions United were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mitch Hollandts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Izak Capellemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hannes Fernkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After some careless play in the Lions United defense, Johnny Broman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Izak Capellemans. The Lions United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Izak Capellemans should have stopped the shot. Karl-Axel Jakobsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Hollandts in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Åhus Absolut F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Mitch Hollandts came free, but Karl-Axel Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game Johnny Broman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lions United's Izak Capellemans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl-Axel Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mitch Hollandts, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Gunter Van Bets left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lions United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Mitch Hollandtss short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Karl-Axel Jakobsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Johnny Broman kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Gunter Van Bets hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Lions United got a freekick which was hit by Rens Panhuyse. After 80 played minutes, Åhus Absolut F.C's Oskar Vase shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Izak Capellemans came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Åhus Absolut F.C reached it. Gunter Van Bets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Axel Jakobsson having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Mitch Hollandts dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Karl-Axel Jakobsson, 1-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lions United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
