The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zenaido Urtiaran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunter Van Bets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ederono Agosto during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Montevideo City Torque's Ederono Agosto got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 12 played minutes Montevideo City Torque got a freekick which was hit by Xove Bernedo. Saul Sanabria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lions United's Izak Capellemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Quevedo in the 25th minute of play. Saul Sanabria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Izak Capellemans having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's goal looked a bit too open when Mitch Hollandts came free, but Zenaido Urtiaran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zenaido Urtiaran came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Lions United's Gunter Van Bets. But to his dismay, Gunter Van Bets quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Xove Bernedo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Zenaido Urtiaran came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Lions United's Mitch Hollandts. But to his dismay, Mitch Hollandts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Zenaido Urtiaran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Calstermans, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Zenaido Urtiaran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitch Hollandts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some careless play in the Lions United defense, Matías Longo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Izak Capellemans. The Lions United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Izak Capellemans should have stopped the shot. Zenaido Urtiaran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Calstermans in the 61st minute of the match. Zenaido Urtiaran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mitch Hollandts in the 63rd minute. Matías Longo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rens Panhuyse kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Matías Longo in the 71st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Izak Capellemans's left hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Lions United's zone, Saul Sanabria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Izak Capellemans came out of the goal and Saul Sanabria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd match minute, Montevideo City Torque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ederono Agosto to maneuver through the defense. After 84 played minutes Montevideo City Torque got a freekick which was hit by Quinito Folch. Mitch Hollandts did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Zenaido Urtiaran 85 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunter Van Bets got free with Zenaido Urtiaran in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Lions United getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Mitch Hollandts hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lions United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
