In the 4th minute, Christian Halstensen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rakkestad IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Christian Halstensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor-Egil Aanes having to interfere. Bjarte Stølan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Tor-Egil Aanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vestfjorden FK's Tor-Egil Aanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Klepp in the 12th minute of play. Jarl Myrene kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Tor-Egil Aanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Klepp in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Halstensen in the 20th minute of play forced Vestfjorden FK's goalkeeper Tor-Egil Aanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Hans-Petter Bartnes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vestfjorden FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, Vestfjorden FK's Tore Kaur got a free kick in the 34th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrik Foldnes to make the kick off. When Kenneth Friis came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Rakkestad IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Friis couldn't finish the play. Carl Frigstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halvard Ernstsen in the 64th minute of play. Svend Phan hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, Vestfjorden FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tore Kaur to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Kenneth Friis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rakkestad IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenneth Friis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tor-Egil Aanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd of the match, Kenneth Friis tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Tor-Egil Aanes got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 73rd minute of the match Rakkestad IF got a corner. Vestfjorden FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christian Halstensen ran over to the corner to take the kick. Christian Halstensen made a great header on Rakkestad IF's corner, it was just that Vestfjorden FK's Tor-Egil Aanes managed to reach the ball for a save. Carl Frigstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halvard Ernstsen in the 74th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Rakkestad IF's Tor-Egil Aanes threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Otto Klepp, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Otto Klepp in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tor-Egil Aanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henrik Foldnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Vestfjorden FK's Tor-Egil Aanes got control of the ball when Christian Halstensen tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Halvard Ernstsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vestfjorden FK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Åsmund Solbakk hit a great ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
