In the 32nd minute, Carlos Alberto de Amaral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ramón Cosme, passed just outside the right post. Teodoro Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramón Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto de Amaral in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

54 minutes into the match, Paranhos Ariranha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Souza came free, but Gilmar Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Nilton Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramón Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilton Alcântara in the 61st minute of the match. Carlos Alberto de Amaral took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramón Cosme. Ramón Cosme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Paranhos Ariranha FC's Gilmar Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Souza in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute SUPERSTAR - DMZ were awarded a corner. Augusto Senna went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 81st minute, Adriano Sergipano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes in the game Magno Jacinto did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nilton Alcântara.
