Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Aristides Poncio was a little too slow when Caio Luz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Forever Tango's Aristides Poncio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Terra in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Niceto Urritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes S S Palestra Italia got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Donatello. Remo da Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niceto Urritz went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 17 minutes of play, S S Palestra Italia's Caio Luz made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aristides Poncio was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Javier Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute, Cipriano Balendin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Javier Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. S S Palestra Italia's Remo da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Urritz in the 27th minute of play. Remo da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Ritchie in the 30th minute of the match. When Javier Ritchie, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Remo da Costa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 33rd match minute, S S Palestra Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Antunes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Domingos Mino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forever Tango's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Mino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cipriano Balendin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo da Costa having to interfere. Remo da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Urritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remo da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Ritchie in the 39th minute of the match. Anderson Cosme charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anderson Cosme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, S S Palestra Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Cosme to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Lesardo in the 45th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Remo da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niceto Urritz to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, S S Palestra Italia's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Ritchie came free, but Remo da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remo da Costa was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Feliciano Fraco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Feliciano Fraco really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Anderson Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. With 62 minutes on the clock, Anderson Cosme commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Niceto Urritz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Remo da Costa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Maximino Lesardo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Remo da Costa. That made the score 2-5 in the 81 minute of play. After some careless play in the S S Palestra Italia defense, Maximino Lesardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remo da Costa. The S S Palestra Italia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remo da Costa should have stopped the shot. Aristides Poncio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Forever Tango played a much better game than S S Palestra Italia and deserved their victory. The S S Palestra Italia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
