MasterBets's Gică Bucataru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Rosenberg in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Roderick Higgins hit a great ball. Gică Bucataru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dustin Gustafson in the 20th minute of the match. MasterBets were furious when Cristi Chivu was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for MasterBets! After a defensive mix-up in MasterBets's zone, Derek Perry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Burnham helped the player get up and apologised. 37 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Aplugăriței came free, but Brice Carey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute of the match, Eduard Aplugăriței tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brice Carey saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The Key Biscayne FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Key Biscayne FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
