Luís Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Kalkavouras in the 3rd minute of play. União dos 7 FC's Joel Ortiz pulled a muscle in his leg after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ilias Lazanas charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ilias Lazanas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reynaldo Vaz hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. A collision led to União dos 7 FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Caio de Moraes hit a great ball. Ntinos Vlasakis came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by União dos 7 FC's Duarte de Almeida. But to his dismay, Duarte de Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. União dos 7 FC's Luís Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fanis Kokkinopoulos in the 21st minute of play. If Michalis Semos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Nikos Kalkavouras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Botelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 28th minute Duarte de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ntinos Vlasakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, União dos 7 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Garcia to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fanis Kokkinopoulos during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of União dos 7 FC booed when ΟΦΗ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fanis Kokkinopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Tzanetos in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Sakis Velakoglou managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΟΦΗ's supporters rose to their feet, but Sakis Velakoglou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the União dos 7 FC defense, Nikos Kalkavouras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Botelho. The União dos 7 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Botelho should have stopped the shot. The União dos 7 FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ΟΦΗ were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giannis Tzanetos to make the kick off. Luís Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Kalkavouras in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Kalkavouras in the 54th minute of play forced União dos 7 FC's goalkeeper Luís Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Nikos Kalkavouras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Botelho came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by ΟΦΗ's Fanis Kokkinopoulos. But to his dismay, Fanis Kokkinopoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Michalis Semos kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Giannis Tzanetos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Botelho. That made the score 1-4 in the 63 minute of play. The supporters of ΟΦΗ booed when União dos 7 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Fanis Kokkinopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Luís Botelho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fanis Kokkinopoulos came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luís Botelho could save by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Nikos Kalkavouras got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luís Botelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fanis Kokkinopoulos went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Fanis Kokkinopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Luís Botelho made a huge save. Luís Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fanis Kokkinopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Fotis Triantafyllopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Botelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giannis Tzanetos in the 91st minute. Fanis Kokkinopoulos in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Botelho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Michalis Semos hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The União dos 7 FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ΟΦΗ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
