Bernabe Arano was a little too slow when Róbson Messias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, CERPA's Serafin Luke got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute Róbson Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Arano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Róbson Messias made a precise shot to the right of Bernabe Arano. CERPA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 38th match minute, CERPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Florinio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of CERPA booed when Rockets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Gol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, CERPA's Pablo Horado got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Romeo Florinio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Mazza. Rockets's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeo Florinio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romeo Florinio to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pablo Horado in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Mazza saved Rockets from getting behind. 52 minutes into the match, Rockets's goalkeeper Benjamin Mazza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Florinio. Róbson Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Arano having to interfere. Toninho Terra hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Benjamin Mazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Florinio's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Róbson Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Arano having to interfere. In the 64th minute Gilvan Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Arano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Arano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Chaves in the 71st minute of play. After 78 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Gol. Bernabe Arano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Rockets's goal looked a bit too open when Serafin Luke came free, but Benjamin Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Herauso charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Herauso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Róbson Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rockets's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
