Adalberto Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Serafin Luke managed to get in a good position for a shot. CERPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafin Luke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Britto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Hoffmann in the 43rd minute of play forced CERPA's goalkeeper Jairo Isauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Isauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcinho Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeo Florinio to make the kick off. The THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while CERPA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
