Flamenco United's Seppe Sterkx got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronald Mathy hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Flamenco United's goal looked a bit too open when Fred-Marc Richter came free, but Romain Labrouche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flamenco United's Romain Labrouche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Brovall in the 23rd minute of play. Youri Goolen scored 1-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt-Åke Smitt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Youri Goolen was the one to do the kick off. Seppe Sterkx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Youri Goolen struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Bengt-Åke Smitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamenco United. Magnus Hjortsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Robbie Van Eijken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bengt-Åke Smitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils Ekeroth hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Seppe Sterkx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bengt-Åke Smitt. Karen FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Seppe Sterkx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 73rd minute, Freek Lembrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Flamenco United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yanick Slegers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Bivall's late challenge caught a Flamenco United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Bivall helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Karen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Bivall to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Robbie Van Eijken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Bengt-Åke Smitt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Youri Goolen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Åke Smitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri Goolen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flamenco United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
