Patrik Rosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Vidal having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Hildeberto Godinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ingemar Eckegren. Polar Ice Caps's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hildeberto Godinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marco Paredes scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingemar Eckegren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Idalécio Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Polar Ice Caps's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Idalécio Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Idalécio Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Sabadim Harammes PRD's Valério Vidal got control of the ball when Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hildeberto Godinho took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingemar Eckegren. Ingemar Eckegren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ingemar Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Durães, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 23 played minutes Polar Ice Caps got a freekick which was hit by Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein. Idalécio Alvarenga got his second yellow card in the match during the 28th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Polar Ice Caps booed when Sabadim Harammes PRD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Idalécio Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Sabadim Harammes PRD's goal looked a bit too open when Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein came free, but Valério Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Polar Ice Caps booed when Sabadim Harammes PRD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingemar Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Abreu in the 36th minute of the match. Paulo Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ingemar Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingemar Eckegren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Paredes's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Polar Ice Caps getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Markus Lundström hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the game, Marco Paredes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ingemar Eckegren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th minute, Paulo Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven Öberg kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Ingemar Eckegren acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Valério Fontoura. 66 minutes into the match, Marco Paredes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ingemar Eckegren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Paredes in the 70th minute of play forced Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Ingemar Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 73 in the game by Paulo Abreu from a close distance when the talented Ingemar Eckegren managed to make a qualified save. Polar Ice Caps's players were relieved. Lucas Matoss short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Ingemar Eckegren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Valério Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein in the 78th minute of play. Polar Ice Caps's Ingemar Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Paredes in the 92nd minute of play. Hildeberto Godinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabadim Harammes PRD's Lucas Matos got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Lucas Matos off the ground. Lucas Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Sabadim Harammes PRD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Polar Ice Caps throughout the match.
