Frederico Pirani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcel Mendes went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Frederico Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Rodrigues in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to OS IMPOSSIVEIS getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Dedê Guedes hit a great ball. Independente FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Romeu Guerra in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, OS IMPOSSIVEIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes, Romeu Guerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independente FC and the OS IMPOSSIVEIS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of OS IMPOSSIVEIS booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frederico Pirani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Vítor Rodrigues's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. If Zé Carlos de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederico Pirani came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Independente FC's Zé Carlos de Azevedo. But to his dismay, Zé Carlos de Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind OS IMPOSSIVEIS's goalkeeper Frederico Pirani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. OS IMPOSSIVEIS's Frederico Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 37th minute of play. Frederico Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 41st minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Zé Carlos de Azevedo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of OS IMPOSSIVEIS's Frederico Pirani. Frederico Pirani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Vítor Rodrigues to strike the kick off in the second half. Frederico Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frederico Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Carlos de Azevedo got free with Frederico Pirani in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Osvaldo Falcão fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OS IMPOSSIVEIS's protests and gave Osvaldo Falcão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, OS IMPOSSIVEIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Falcão to maneuver through the defense. José Vítor Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Frederico Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independente FC. Ezequiel Barral might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederico Pirani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ezequiel Barral ran back to his position shaking his head. Delfim Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Quintal having to interfere. When Gilberto Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the OS IMPOSSIVEIS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Silveira couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 71st minute of play forced OS IMPOSSIVEIS's goalkeeper Frederico Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Independente FC booed when OS IMPOSSIVEIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, OS IMPOSSIVEIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. Igor Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in OS IMPOSSIVEIS's zone, Zé Carlos de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Pirani came out of the goal and Zé Carlos de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frederico Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 96th minute of the match. Independente FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
