Osvaldo Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislav Kaiturov having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Galatasaray SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedor Ledohovich to maneuver through the defense. Cesinha Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee ignored OS IMPOSSIVEIS's protests and gave Osvaldo Falcão a yellow card for diving instead. Osvaldo Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesinha Galvão was the one to do the kick off.
