Sérgio Maciel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sidney Campidelis. Alvinegro de Tupã's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 21st minute Fernandinho Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Xandeco FC booed when Alvinegro de Tupã was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Renatinho Braga could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Nando Proença however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Xandeco FC booed when Alvinegro de Tupã was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sidney Campidelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandinho Sergipano went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Caetano Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Fernandinho Paes's late challenge caught a Xandeco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernandinho Paes helped the player get up and apologised. Sidney Campidelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Alvinegro de Tupã players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Xandeco FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Garcia to make the kick off. Nando Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Garcia in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Xandeco FC's zone, Anderson Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nando Proença came out of the goal and Anderson Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvinegro de Tupã's Sidney Campidelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Alvinegro de Tupã from getting a goal against them. Caetano Mendonça came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sidney Campidelis could save by the left post. Nando Proença stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Garcia's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Alvinegro de Tupã's Anderson Tavares got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Sidney Campidelis made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Kauan Lago sent off a good shot on target. Sidney Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Alvinegro de Tupã was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Nando Proença didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Garcia went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Sidney Campidelis made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Fernandinho Sergipano sent off a good shot on target. The Alvinegro de Tupã supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Xandeco FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Xandeco FC.
