The audience thought a goal was coming when Orbay Tokcan got free with Emanuele Lucentini in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's Kuzey Darga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kuzey Darga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kuzey Darga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 24 minutes into the game, one of VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Karadeniz Özsan had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Adriano Bellomo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 27th minute, Adriano Bellomo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karadeniz Özsan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 30th minute, Orbay Tokcan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd play minute Orbay Tokcan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Emanuele Lucentini. 2-1. After a rather tough play, VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's Yalçın Yalınç got a free kick in the 36th minute. Adriano Bellomo might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karadeniz Özsan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 40 minutes of play, VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's Orbay Tokcan made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuele Lucentini was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Claudio Cavallo managed to get in a good position for a shot. LIVIOFOREVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Cavallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karadeniz Özsan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Alfonsi in the 47th minute of play forced VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's goalkeeper Karadeniz Özsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Punta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orbay Tokcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Lucentini having to interfere. After 53 minutes, Alp Orguntay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL and the LIVIOFOREVER players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alp Orguntay hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind LIVIOFOREVER's goalkeeper Emanuele Lucentini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by LIVIOFOREVER's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alp Orguntay was slow to take the kick. During this time VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's players had a chance to rest. VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's Sefa İltemir was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emanuele Lucentini in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Orbay Tokcan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuele Lucentini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of LIVIOFOREVER booed when VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sefa İltemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karadeniz Özsan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Punta in the 66th minute. Orbay Tokcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Claudio Cavallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LIVIOFOREVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Cavallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuele Alfonsi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karadeniz Özsan having to interfere. Anselmo Punta had several of the VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 92 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Karadeniz Özsan as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL fans cheered their team off the field, for while LIVIOFOREVER had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
