Bispmotala BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Utter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's César Salles got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Brandt in the 17th minute of play forced Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's goalkeeper Jerônimo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandão Garcia hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Jesper Svartengren charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesper Svartengren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Bispmotala BK got a freekick which was hit by Jesper Svartengren. In the 26th minute, Edmílson Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Jerônimo de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Utter in the 46th minute of play. Jerônimo de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egon Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rune Brandt made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dag Algren during the 53rd minute. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Christer Wallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christer Wallgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gil Peres's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Glauco Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glauco Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Egon Tunström came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jerônimo de Mendonça could save by the left post. When Axel Utter fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bispmotala BK's protests and gave Axel Utter a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ booed when Bispmotala BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Utter didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Gil Peres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christer Wallgren. Bispmotala BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gil Peres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 79 played minutes Bispmotala BK got a freekick which was hit by Rune Brandt. When the referee ended the match the Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
