Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5593, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arnoldo Ubarna made the kick off which started today's match. Gualterio Estebano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute, Anastasio Diegotxe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PLASNIKE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Gualterio Estebano came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the PLASNIKE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualterio Estebano couldn't finish the play. Ariel Urbasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Herauso in the 17th minute of the match. Gualterio Estebano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ariel Urbasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Ubarna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vladimiro Egoitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 26 played minutes PLASNIKE got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Jeraldo. Ariel Urbasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ladislao Tonete went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Ariel Urbasa came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by PLASNIKE's Gualterio Estebano. But to his dismay, Gualterio Estebano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Gualterio Estebano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ariel Urbasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Diegotxe in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualterio Estebano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Sporting de Gijón defense, Ricardo Herauso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ariel Urbasa. The Sporting de Gijón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Urbasa should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Gualterio Estebano managed to get in a good position for a shot. PLASNIKE's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualterio Estebano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Urbasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's Arnoldo Ubarna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimiro Egoitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Nicanor Odilon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Herauso took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ariel Urbasa. Ariel Urbasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Vladimiro Egoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Galindo in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute Arnoldo Ubarna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Egoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes PLASNIKE got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Diegotxe. 77 minutes in the game, Gualterio Estebano fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ariel Urbasa having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Amadeo Panpili had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladimiro Egoitz. PLASNIKE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeo Panpili was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 3-5 when Amadeo Panpili sped through PLASNIKE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vladimiro Egoitz. Ricardo Herauso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toto Belmonte charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toto Belmonte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of PLASNIKE booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toto Belmonte didn't get a good kick on the ball. PLASNIKE played a much better game than Sporting de Gijón and deserved their victory. The Sporting de Gijón players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
